The first days
Avoid scratching, rubbing, heat and direct sun exposure, and do not pick crusts or grafts. Sleeping position, washing and medicines are determined by the treating team.
Introducing shampoo
Once approved, cleansing should be gentle and nail-free. A supportive shampoo may be suitable later, but timing depends on scalp healing rather than a universal schedule.
Introducing serum and follow-up
Serums should not be applied to wounds or active inflammation. After healing and clinician approval, they can be introduced gradually while monitoring tolerance and documenting change rather than expecting an immediate result.
